This agency located in a small community hours away from a major Canadian city was made of a mix of creative veterans and fabulous up-and-coming talent that all had two things in common - their love for the outdoors and creating great work with a mix of small and mid-sized accounts.
Business Challenge
Agency founders were looking for an amazing creative leader who would possibly be interested in an equity stake down the road. Provided most agencies were in key markets, they knew it was going to be a big challenge and lift to find a great creative leader who would be a match with their culture - and be open to relocating and living in a small city.
Our Approach
We met with the Founders to understand the history of their agency along with their core values, unique differentiators, and goals for growth to really understand everything they had to offer so that when we took this opportunity to market, we could get candidates excited and engaged.
We aren’t new to finding unicorns and also have experience helping companies in B or C markets find great people - and took this search on with enthusiasm. We conducted a national search, created custom communication, and branding for this search as well as a robust direct recruitment strategy. We understood we were going to have to cast a wide net to ensure we had a range of strong candidates to present.
