Creative Niche is partnering with a Toronto/New York agency whose focus is “Social First” and has a roster of tier one clients across USA and Canada including food, CPG, Cannabis, Entertainment, Start-Ups, Alcohol, to name a few.

With a motto of doing things differently, this growing agency is looking to add an Intermediate Art Director / Designer experienced with creating visual assets, video, and animation, to the team and partner with a copywriter to create and inspire outstanding, on-trend design and art direction for social campaigns from conceptualization through production. You live and breathe visual design and nail strategies and concepts that are forward thinking and innovative. This position is remote at present but may require in person meetings at their Toronto office (position open to permanent residents of Canada only at this time).

Key responsibilities will include

  • Create fully integrated campaigns and marketing programs across all mediums — specifically social
  • Understand the nuances across the social platforms, including best practices demonstrated through your design views and execution (aka killer portfolio too!)
  • Work seamlessly day-to-day within the overall team when developing work
  • Development of all types of social content from static social posts to video and animation
  • Development of visual communication from branding to video
  • Assist in developing an ongoing editorial calendar with copy and concepts that align with brand voice/tone.
  • Potential to assist in ongoing business pitches and internal communications (website, brand material & social content)
  • Provide artistic direction for photography, film, animation and digital applications;
  • Present creative concepts and provide artistic direction;
  • Work together with a copywriter, strategists and account services;

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field;
  • 4+ years agency experience including working on Social campaign projects from start to finish;
  • Exceptional art direction/design skills for paid and organic digital and social platforms – Instagram, Facebook, Tiktok, etc.
  • Passion and understanding of today’s social media landscape and the best practices as it relates to each unique platform;
  • Desire to interact with great branded and unbranded content from across digital platforms;
  • Proven track record of thriving in fast-paced environments and working independently;
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment;
  • Distinctly creative and obsessed about how ideas can be bigger, and better!
  • Proficient in creative suite for Mac operating systems (Video editing & VFX experience is an asset)
  • Strong understanding of the creative process;
  • Familiar with the production process of all relevant disciplines;
  • Fluent in English, oral and written.Good sense of humour, understands feedback helps us grow, passionate to drive great ideas through to execution!
