Job Summary

Reporting to the Co-Founder / Head of Growth, the Account Manager builds lasting professional relationships with our valued patrons (that’s what we call our clients). Applying a “people first” approach always, the Account Manager works closely with the rest of the growth team acting as a primary ongoing point of contact for all patrons, ensuring that the relationship is nurtured long-term and grown year-over-year. We play the long-term game at pb+j, the Account Manager should too. This person is resourceful, naturally curious, has a positive attitude, and is capable of articulating how we can help patrons meet their specific business goals, and most importantly can identify growth opportunities with every patron and communicate how we can help.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with our patrons and continuously work to genuinely understand and anticipate their needs

  • Work to understand the competitive and market landscape each patron is facing

  • Leverage research, creativity, communication, and relationship-building skills to foster deeper partnerships with patrons across a variety of industries

  • Help patrons understand exactly where pb+j can assist them by sharing information on our services, new initiatives, and offerings

  • Grow the Lifetime Value (LTV) of each patron account through inside sales activities

  • Oversee all patron accounts in which we are engaged in ongoing, retainer-based services

  • Assist patrons in understanding more about what we can do for them, how we work, and the “language” we speak. This may include introducing them to members of our growth and creative teams for in-depth conversations, offering training, Lunch n’ Learns, access to resources or conferences, or other resources to help them gain a greater depth of understanding where they are interested

  • Conduct periodical surveys and maintain ongoing communication with patrons to ensure their satisfaction and retention

  • Work with other Jammers to develop and present growth strategies and action plans for patron accounts and oversee their smooth execution

  • Prepare proposals and reports in collaboration with others on the Growth Team, including the Co-Founder

  • Collaborate and coordinate with all Jammers to deliver the highest quality solutions for patrons

  • Oversee and participate in a variety of projects


  • 3+ years of experience working in a similar Account Management or inside sales role

  • Experience in a digital, creative, or growth agency is preferred

  • Very strong research, strategic thinking, and creative problem-solving skills

  • Experience managing clients and following different inside sales and account growth methodologies is a strong asset

  • Excellent patron/client service skills are required. Must be able to build strong rapport and lasting genuine relationships with patrons while maintaining a strong degree of professionalism and discretion

  • Natural curiosity and resourcefulness are important elements of this position and are required

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively and confidently inside and outside the business to reach patron and agency goals

  • Must be goal-driven and patient to push towards long-term patron and agency success over time

  • Strong ability to consistently deliver quality work under tight deadlines

  • Proficiency using: HubSpot Suite—including CRM and Sales Hub—Asana, Google Suite, and PandaDoc are highly desirable for this role

Key Collaborators:

  • Reports to the Head of Growth / Co-Founder

  • Close collaborator across all teams, especially related to retainer-based account work
